Roberto Clemente Jr threw out the first pitch making this one a touching opening.
Oneill Cruz opened up the fun in the 1st with a HR. A few quiet innings from both teams. Then in the 5th, the Pirates had a rally going with a couple of singles. Cruz came up and wiffed. Brian Reynolds came up and wiffed as well. McCutcheon popped out to end the rally. Heaney for Pit was dazzling keeping the Nats down. In the 9th, Sanatana came in and closed it out. Low scoring affair here. But, the Pirates got the win for Clemente Jr!
